Fleur Roos Rosa de Carvalho is Senior Curator of Prints and Drawings at the Van Gogh Museum. She discovered her passion for nineteenth-century works on paper while serving as Assistant Curator at the museum from 2007 to 2010. Her expertise in this field deepened during her tenure as a researcher (2010–14) and later as curator.
In addition to numerous collection exhibitions, Roos Rosa de Carvalho was responsible for the exhibition and catalogue Prints in Paris 1900: From Elite to the Street (2017). She is also the author of Printmaking in Paris: The Rage for Prints at the Fin de Siècle (2012) and of several other publications on late-19th-century French art.
Her recent work includes the exhibition catalogue 150 Years of Impressionism. The Netherlands Sees the Light (2024), as well as the forthcoming catalogue raisonné From Proof to Perfection: The Genesis of the Vollard Suites by Bonnard, Denis, Vuillard, Roussel and Clot. She also co-edits the online collection catalogue Contemporaries of Van Gogh 1: Works Collected by Theo and Vincent.
